Why did US Flight Co create its own financing company?
We tried working with the existing aviation lenders and found their rates, approval timelines, and customer service weren’t good enough for our students. So we built US Flight Finance in-house: a lender that understands flight training because it lives inside a flight school.
What credit score do I need?
US Flight Finance typically approves applicants with scores around 650 and up. A co-signer can help if your credit is still building. The best way to know is to get pre-qualified. It won’t affect your score.
How much do I need for a down payment?
The down payment is $10,000 for qualified applicants. A larger down payment lowers your monthly payment and total interest, but we always recommend keeping an emergency reserve.
Are there prepayment penalties?
No. You can pay your loan off early at any time with no penalty, so you only pay interest for as long as you carry the balance.
How fast can I get approved?
Many applicants receive a decision the same day. Because underwriting is handled in-house, there’s no long third-party approval chain to wait on.
When do payments begin?
Repayment runs on a 5-year term and typically begins shortly after your loan is disbursed. Our admissions team will lay out your full schedule before you commit.
